High-frequency smart cards use a frequency range of 1Mhz to 400Mhz, the common main specification is 13.56MHZ this ISM band, this band label is still passive-based, but also through inductive coupling for energy supply and data transmission, the large application in this band is known as contactless smart cards.

Compared with low frequencies, it transmits faster, usually above 100KBS, and can be multi-labeled (each international standard has a mature anti-conflict mechanism). The system in this band benefits from the application and popularity of contactless smart cards, the system is more mature, and the price of reading and writing equipment is low.

High-frequency products are abundant, with storage capacity from 128 bits to more than 8K bytes, and can support high security features, from simple write locking to encryption, and even encryption coprocessors. Generally used in identity, library management, product management and so on。
